Competition Agility
The Newton Heath Agility league 2012 is now under-way, the league will run from 1st January to 31st December 2012.
To gain points for the league you need to be competing at KC shows, points are awarded for placings (where a rosette is gained).
1st = 16 points, 2nd = 15 points, 3rd = 14 points….. and so on to 15th = 2 point
You can also claim 1 point for a clear below a 15th place!
RULES
- Newton Heath’s Agility League is open to ALL Newton Heath members, whose dogs are in Grades 1-5.
- Points can only be gained from Open and Championship shows licensed by The Kennel Club. The following are examples of events that cannot be counted: Shows licensed by other Kennel Clubs or organisations, unaffiliated shows, finals, semi-finals, special or invitation events. Examples of Special classes that cannot be counted include: ABC (Anything But Collie), BC/WS (Border Collie/Working Sheepdog), Veteran, Allsorts / Any Size, Pay on the Day, Pairs, Team, Trio.
- Only awarded places in scheduled single-dog classes can be counted. All Standard classes are approved.
- In all categories, points are for one dog only, i.e. points for more than one dog are not added together. Where two dogs have an equal number of points the number of wins will be used to determine which takes the higher place, followed (if necessary) by the number of 2nds, 3rds, etc.
- Your dog will stay in the Grade it was in on 1st January, if you win out you do not move up in the league.
- Results must be received within ONE MONTH (based on the last day for shows more than 1 day long). The final results at the end of the Annual Awards year must be received no later than the 6th January 2013
To claim your points you can email, text, see me at club or fill in a result slip on the agility notice board in the club house (this new way is to make it simpler for me!), I need to know:
- Who & Which Dog
- Placing
- Show
- Grade
- Agility or Jumping
This will give me enough info to put your name in lights on this website as well, giving you the congratulations you deserve.
At the end of the year there will be awards for the ‘Best Large Dog’ grades 1-3 and 4-5 and ‘Best Small/Medium Dog’ grades 1-3 and 4-5, so basically POINTS WIN PRIZES!
