NHDTC can train you and your dog to perform agility activities for fun or for competition level.  You may have seen dogs competing at Crufts, these are the top dogs in the country.  Competitions are split into levels of ability of both the dog and the handler so everyone has a chance of excelling in the sport.  There is no problem if you just want to do agility for fun,  your dog will love it.

What is Dog Agility?

Dog agility was created over 25 years ago and provides a fun sport for both handlers and dogs alike.  The sport involves running your dog on set courses using jumps, see-saws, A frames, Long Jumps, Catwalks, tunnels, tyres and many other obstacles.

Boo Jumping

All breeds can take part as there are 3 height levels we use for the jumps.

Why not get in touch and give it a try as long as your dog is over 1 year of age and has a good grounding in basic obedience.  All dogs need to be able to do at least a minute sit-stay, or down-stay; come when called and not run off.

If your dog can’t do the above then the club offers a wide range of training sessions from complete beginners to advanced dogs and handlers in Obedience as well as Agility. Email for details.

We also offer fun agility sessions open to those who don’t necessarily want to enter competitively.
