Hi everybody.

Due to the ongoing work resurfacing the road under the bridge there will be no activities at the club tonight, so no fun agility :-( We have been assured that the club can reopen on Monday the 2nd of August.

The next fun agility session should be on Friday 13th August (2nd Friday of the month) as usual.

Due to the closure next week and quite a few of our agility member being available, there will be an agility training session this Sunday (25th July), at 11am.

See you all there xx

Well done to Sue Duncan and Toots, this pair got a 3rd and a 2nd in Grade 6 Jumping at Otley.

Louise McGovern and Saffie, also visited Otley and Got 2x 2nd places…. well done ladies!

Another one from Otley, Pam Brooker and Titch gained a respectable 5th place, so well done to you as well.

Steve Mellor and Jim, went to Wirral and walked away with a 3rd place… not bad for one (old) man and his dog (only joking Steve!)

Hannah Grantham and Boo also went to Wirral and managed to get 2x 1st, one in agility and the other in Jumping…. not long now till we have to run Grade 6 Arrgghhhh!!

A couple of belated congrats…. Jane Potter and Foxy gained a 3rd, 6th and 7th place a High Peak and a 2nd and 3rd at Lune Valley, so  a belated well done to you two.

Also Karen Newton and Skye got themselves a 2nd place in Grade 3 Agility at High Peak so well done there as well

Plus, Annette Scrimshaw and Lucy took 8th place in Combined 3-4 Agility at Lune Valley…. so a massive well done too!!!

Keep it up Ladies and Gentlemen…. your making us look very good indeed!!

The club will be closed next week 26th july and re open friday 30th July due to re surfacing the roadway under the bridge.

Because I am sad and also run the Agility League I decided it would be interested to see how many rosettes in total Newton Heath agility members have won in 2010 so far…….138

Thats a total of:

1st = 48

2nd = 32

3rd = 18

4th = 9

5th = 12

6th = 7

7th to 15th = 12

This is not counting anything beyond a 15th place….. how good are we!!!!

In addition to the Agility Training on Thursdays, we now train now Wednesdays as well. Training starts at 7pm and finishes around 9pm, we only have use of one field (the one nearest the carpark).

Well done to Steph Wilson-Astbury and Lucy, this was their first Grade 4 show and they managed a fabulous 3x 3rd places….. we think this pair will be Grade 5 very soon!

Louise McGovern and Saffie were on top form as well, taking a 2nd in agility and 1st in Jumping, Grade 6 is beconning!

Sarah Stokes and Ffion, took a 2nd and a 4th, then to top the weekend off managed a wonderful 1st place in agility taking this super pair in to Grade 2…. well done!!!!

Hannah Grantham and Boo managed a 2nd in Jumping and 1st in Agility at their first Grade 5 show, this now puts them firmly in Grade 6 (yes I am scared! because our first Grade 6 show will be the KC Agility Festival Arrggghhhhh!!)

See you all at training…. plenty of cakes to go around!
