Our small/medium agility dogs had a very sucessful weekend at Wyre…..

Louise McGovern and Saffie, took a 1st in 4-5 Agility, 1st in 4-5 Jumping, 5th in 1-7 Agility and 5th in 1-7 Jumping, well done again to this fantastic pair.

Oliver Wilson-Astbury (Steph’s son) got his first ever KC Clear with Lucy, and took 4th in the Junior 1-4 Jumping, bitten by the agility bug he decided to run Lucy in 1-3 Jumping and managed another clear…. storming into 1st place, well done! (watch out Steph he will be taking over!)

Hannah Grantham and Boo, also had a fantastic weekend! Taking 2nd in 4-5 Jumping and 2nd in 4-5 Agility, but they also won a 4-5 Agility class taking this partnership into Grade 5! (yes I am over the moon really!)

Well done to our small/medium handlers!

There will be no agility training on Thursday 17th June, due to our show at Arley Hall.

Also there will be no agility training on Sundays due to the show season being in full swing, we will let you all know when Sunday training is starting up again.

The first big club raffle of the year will take place at our Arley Hall show (19th & 20th June, see the events page for more details). Prize donations will be gratefully accepted. If you have anything you’d like to donate as a raffle prize please bring it to the clubhouse & leave it with a committee member for safe keeping.

Sarah Stokes‘ dog Greg got his first clear round on Saturday at PADS agility show. It was a combined 1 – 3 agility class and he came 5th, which qualified him for the Alpha Agility Challenge Final. His litter sister won the class. He also got a second clear on the Sunday even after Sarah trying to send him the wrong way and still got a 2nd place in Grade 1 Agility. What a little star!

Sarah’s other dog Ffion (little miss reliable) got two 6th places in agility (one sat and one sun) and a 3rd in Jumping on the Sunday.

They’re all now looking forward to the NHDTC show at Arley Hall next weekend.

Pam Brooker and Titch managed to gain two 1st places and two 2nd places at Wigton Agilty Show this weekend, this came in the form of a 1st and 2nd in Grade 3 jumping and the same in Grade 3 agility.

Unfortunately the agility win was not a clear so this pair can not move into grade 4 just yet, but we are sure it won’t be long until they do!

Well done girls, keep it up!

There will be Measuring at our Agility Show in June, this will be pay on the day ad will cost £4 per dog.

Measuring will be carried out be Lesley Olden and Brenda Tenten.

There will be a booking in sheet in the secretary’s tent at the show, so you can reserve a place.

A massive well done to Jane Potter and Foxy, they won a Grade 4 Agility Class at Hare and Hounds this weekend taking this great pair into Grade 5.

Also at the same show (and not to be outdone) June Burrow and Dipper also managed to win a Grade 4 Agility Class putting this pair in to Grade 5, but they went one better and won a jumping class as well.

June also won a Grade 6 Jumping Class with her other dog Poppy, so well done there as well.

Good luck in Grade 5 girls, keep this red rosettes coming!

Newton Heath Flyball team had a brilliant weekend at Ryecroft Farm.  There were 3 teams running Newton Heath Timelords, Newton Heath Sourcerers and Newton Heath Newbies!  It was a great weekend.  The Timelords were first in on Saturday and the team was Karren with Skye, Sarah with Greg, Amanda with Holly, Denise with Skye and Tina with Jake.  The team ran some really good races and came away with 1st!  Well done Timelords.

Sunday was the turn of Sourcerers, this team included..Ken with Fly, Sarah with Ffion, Amanda with Sandy, Nathan with Boogie, Neil with Holly and Also Neil with Sam…watching Neil run two dogs was quite an event!  The team did great and walked away with 3rd place!  Well done Sourcerers!

Monday was time for the Newbies, this was fantastic.  The Newbies are the starters team so they get to run with netting while they learn there jobs.  The team for the Newbies was…Janet with Jazz, Karren with Brodie, Nathan with Milo, Keith with Ella, Ken with Star and Kathryn with Harry.  The team were brilliant!  a few glitches thrown in from Brodie not getting his ball but then saved by the others!  Massive well done to Harry who ran extremely well for his mum and managed to get under 5 seconds!  Go Harry!  Well done Newbies!

A great weekend was had by all.  The next show is in Rotherham on 12th & 13th June.  Please ask anyone from the team about details, would be great to see you all there.

Steph Wilson-Astbury and Lucy did it again! they managed to gain 2x 1st and 2x 2nd placings at Dog Vegas, Bakewell over the weekend.

This great agility partnership have now won out of Grade 3 (at their first Grade 3 show! no less) well done you two you truly deserve it!…. good luck in Grade 4!

Hannah Grantham and Boo also did not disappoint, they managed a 1st and a 2nd in Jumping and a 2nd in Agility, this means they are now on the edge of winning out into Grade 5.

And not forgetting Louise McGovern and Raddlie (her baby dog) who managed to gain thier first ever KC show clear together, this little dog is showing great potential and we are sure it won’t be long until he is bringing home some rosettes of his very own.

Well done to our small and medium agility dogs!
